Music to Inspire - Friday 16 March to Sunday 25 March 2018

Thanks to our wonderful performers, our audiences, sponsors, advertisers and our GSMF Friends we were able to present a brilliant programme of inspirational music, dance and drama, curated by our Artistic Director, Lucy Parham..

Highlights included:

John Lill and John Suchet in an evening discovering Beethoven’s life and music
Lucy Parham and Henry Goodman brought Rachmaninoff to life in Elégie - Rachmaninoff,
A Heart In Exile through drama and music
Jess Gillam, saxophonist Young Musician of the Year finalist excited us all
O Duo percussion group – exciting, entertaining and plenty of audience participation
Santiago Quartet with Julian Rowlands with Piazzolla and Tango Dancers
Our 'Young Artists' concert presented four exceptional young musicians
Our Gala Festival Concert performance of Haydn’s Creation featured the Surrey Mozart Players, Guildford Chamber Choir and Occam Singers.
Jazz Saturday featured the lively George Abbot Big Band, and a jazz singing workshop
with Pete Churchill, and performed alongside his quartet in the evening.
